Computer Serial Number Finder — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy covers the Chrome extension Computer Serial Number Finder
(Chrome Web Store ID gchcegpjoadkicnmfcopgcahogdbonoh), published by olkando.com.
In short: the extension does not collect, send, sell or share any user data. Everything it shows is read and displayed on your own computer.
What the extension reads
Only to show it to you in the popup, on your device:
- Your operating system and its version, to show the steps for your system.
- Processor model (
system.cpupermission) and installed memory (system.memorypermission), shown on the "This Computer" tab. - Graphics card name, screen resolution and browser version, shown on the same tab.
These values exist only while the popup is open. They are not saved and never leave your computer.
What the extension stores
Two small values in chrome.storage.local, on your device only:
- how many times a command was copied;
- whether the one-time "rate this extension" message was closed, so it is not shown again.
Nothing else is stored. Both values are removed when you uninstall the extension.
What the extension does not do
- It does not collect personal information (name, email, address, IP address, location).
- It does not read your browsing history or the content of any website. It has no website permissions.
- It makes no network requests. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no tracking and no ads.
- It does not load or run remote code. All code is inside the extension package.
- It never reads your clipboard. When you click "Copy", it only writes the selected command or value to it.
Links
The extension opens a page only when you click a button: chrome://system on Chromebooks,
and the extension's review page on the Chrome Web Store. Those pages are covered by Google's own policies.
Sharing
No user data is sold, transferred or shared with anyone, because no data leaves your device. The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If the extension's data behaviour ever changes, this page will be updated and the date above renewed.
